Yeri Im

Im has worked on various DPRK-related issues since 2003. She traveled there on numerous occasions during her time with World Vision North Korea, where she helped to provide clean and safe drinking water in rural communities, and supplementary meals to children in nurseries and kindergartens. Her experience with the DPRK also includes conducting academic research, coordinating a Track II conference (NEACD 2006 in Tokyo), and participating in the New York Philharmonic’s 2008 performance in Pyongyang as a tour manager. In 2008 and 2009, she was posted in Pyongyang to help World Vision and four other American NGOs implement a USAID-funded emergency food assistance project. Since 2015, she has also served as a member on Christian Friends of Korea's Board of Directors.
